Kindle

Has anyone tried Amazon's Kindle Global Wireless Reading Device? Is it easy to use? Would you recommend it to your friends?

  1. My friend just told me she bought it for a friend and it was quite complicated plus you can’t simply upload eBooks to it; you need to subscribe to their service that isn’t available in the gulf area!! You can’t read Arabic on which means it’s not a simple pdf reader!! For me that’s pointless. What if I have my own books that I wanna browse!!

  3. I own one. I've had it for over six months now. You can upload any pdf file to it through amazon but it only supports romanized letters. It's pretty cool if you love reading. You buy whatever from amazon and just transfer it to your kindle from your computer (if you're outside the global wireless range.)

  5. Whitesand & Anon... This is what I do with my sony digital reader. But it is a pain sometimes. I thought a global wireless would include Kuwait too :( but it doesn't ...
