Diet Update - May

It is 1:03 pm as I'm typing this post and just had my breakfast! Let me explain, I didn't have anything important to do so I overslept, and started my exercise session a bit late. This week I've added another extra half hour to my sessions. I'm going on two hours and a half now. By the time I was done, showered and prepared my one slice egg salad sandwich with a cup of black coffee. Yes, it has been four days now since I gave up milk *Sniff*. I love my lattes but unfortunately I feel bloated the whole time and I don't like Soya milk. So I just have to give it up. I've added another 20-30 min in the evening… it is either cycling, dancing with the boys or a little bit of toning moves. When it comes to food, I'm eating sensibly but in small portions. I had a little rice and marag with a big piece of chicken breast and veggies this week, however most days I tend to stick to low carb meals. Then it hit me the portion I had on my plate, so much less than what I used to eat. I guess my stomach is getting smaller. I did sneak some chocolate a couple of times. But I'm not over eating. At 9pm when my stomach starts to growl I feel soo happy. I know I'm doing something right. For body toning I'm doing basic moves such as sit-ups, push-ups and squats. Every other day I do light weight upper body toning. I still have a bulge and some flab, which will only go with a nip'n tuck. Yep, I'm soo considering a procedure! But not now, of course. A couple of my friends went through it few months ago and they look so great that for the first time in my life I feel soo jealouse ;p Tip to beat Craving : Ice water. Keep a bottle of ice water next to you and sip when you feel cravings hit you late at night. I sometims add crystal light flavoring to my water. Tip on Exercising: On one of the health shows I watch on TV had a tip today about having better results and buring more fat while cycling. Here is the formula : 3x a week - 2o min. - 8 seconds sprint - 12 slow cycle Now its 3:37pm... I usually don't take that long to type a post, but between checking emails, replying to calls and other distractions I just finished :s

  1. :) that's a good tip to beat night cravings... i get that all the time..so much so that i prepare the dish im craving...the other day i wanted french toast like around 12:30 in the night... i got a tiny jelly belly :) which im not sad off coz we do work out but cravings are getting on a crazy side !!!

  2. I'm sipping ice water as I'm typing this reply ;p for a jelly belly try to snack on yogurt...fruit or fat free it is good for you :)

    And about that ice water tip, does it really work? I'm on the Lofat lifestyle diet, and I just can't seem to be able to get rid of my cravings. Yesterday, I had more than a handful of Garrett popcorn (which is evil, I warn you) :P

  4. F20... Thanks :) Yes, for me the ice water works and sheer will.. some times I freeze the crystal light raspberry water until its slushy and snack on it ;)
