When In Rome - Movie

Yesterday Fahad and I managed to steel few hours and go to the movies. We dicided on "When in Rome", Staring Kristen Bell & Josh Duhamel, Angelica Huston, Danny DeVito, Will Arnett, Jon Hader, Dax Shepard. The movie, was cute and artificially funny. Josh Duhamel looked all through the movie as if he is smelling something bad. Christen Bell, tried her best but wasn't up to her roll this time. Althought I loved her clothes and accessories, Van Cleef & Arpels Jewels, and Lubies for shoes. In one scene she kicked off her lubies and I just cried out in pain!!! I think in an interview she said she was sick when she filmed the movie. At least she didn't look as if she was smelling bad. I thought if it wasn't for the supporting hilarious cast, the movie might have been a total bust! Oh!!! And that cute little yellow car!!! I want one like it! All in all, the movie was ok...not Wow! But now I want to go to Rome!!!

Weekend Mood!

just to reduce the guilt ;p

Peanut Butter & Banana French Toast, On Chocolate Toast!

YUM YUM!!!

Fahad and I are morning persons. Even on weekends we wake up early. We love our breakfast and lunches. This morning I decided to make Peanut butter & Banana French toast, drizzled with Acacia honey. I used by mistake, Chocolate Toast, from Bread Talk. I just grabbed the bag without checking the label thinking its brown toast, but it was still delicious! It was delicious but on the heavy side for me, I only managed to finish one half of the toast. Fahad enjoyed his very much!

April Fool's Day!

So the joke was on me and some of the parents of his school friends, although unintentional since he has no idea about April Fool's Day. Abdulaziz... I mention him a lot on my posts. He is my first born. He is my love. He is spontaneous, artistic, generous, affectionate, loud, hyper, chaotic, kind and damn stubborn!!!

His birthday is next week which is also on the last day of school for the Easter Holiday, and some of his friends are traveling.

I guess his girl friend, which he adores since pre-KG is leaving too, and that's why he has been insistent on having his party a week earlier just so she can attend the party.

I refused and told him I'm not going to change plans because she was leaving. He can invite her later for a movie and a burger when she gets back. But Nooooo! Once Abdulaziz puts something in his head, it is there in his head and he must have his own way!!!

So he goes on making invitation cards, I mentioned he is artistic, inviting his friends to a party at Discovery Mall, writing my number as RSVP, and hands it to half of the 3rd graders in his school.

Yesterday after school I send him and his brother off to my parents home. At last a hard earned quiet afternoon, I was really engrossed when I got the first call!

It was a mother inquiring about the birthday party at Discovery Mall and where exactly its going to be. I just couldn't believe it!!! I, embarrassingly apologized to the mother, she laughed it off saying it was a wonderful April's Fool prank.

As the hour passed by, I got other calls, and not all the parents were laughing!

The little brat! Just let me put my hands on him!!

I was so furious the only thing I thought about was ways to torture him. Of course, I called and scolded him and his true Birthday party which I was planning to have for him is off, he is grounded for life and have to write apology notes to the parents who went to Discovery Mall and couldn't find the party.

Papa Jones or Domino's?

So Fahad and I passed by the shop at Ahmed AlJaber St. just for a usual check up. On the way back home we were stuck in traffic and saw these two cars in front of us! NOW... Fahad's favorite is Papa Jones regular crust Margarita with ground beef and green peppers, and I love Domino's thin crust Margarita or Margarita with ground beef.

We were placing bets on who is the best.

When the Cat is Away, The Mice Comes Out to Play!!!

The title of this post says it all!

Yesterday I was out on errands, and stopped by TSC to get some groceries, and I was in mind to make a dinner of cold cuts with cheeses, dips, veggies and salads, something different from the usual, and to encourage the boyos to make their own sandwich combinations and maybe try new flavors.

When I got back home, the first thing I notice on the coffee table was a large empty box of doughnuts! I look at Fahad narrowing my eyes, he starts laughing knowing very well that he forgot to hide the crime he committed!!!

Let me fast forward few days back, Fahad's cholestrol is high, his weight is up and he is on a diet!

Not the starve yourself diet, but the healthy choices and exercise kind of diet. Since my darling loves his machboos, he is allowed to have it every other day, but only about a cup of rice, lots of salads and proteins.

Back to yesterday, Fahad had his Mutabag Simach, late I must add, and after I left he sent for a box of doughnuts!! and shared them with the boyos! Who also, snacked on potato chips and chocolates earlier that afternoon, which I don't allow everyday! They each had two doughnuts!!!

It spoiled their appetite! Spoiled the diet!!! and spoiled my healthy dinner plans!!!! and I am one angry mama!
