Grand Parents!

As a mom, I lose my mind when the grandparents on both sides spoil my boys rotten. I'm a very strict parent. I have schedules, long lists of time tables and meal plans... and then everything goes kaput! when they go to the grandparents. Abdulaziz & Ahmed have unlimited access to KDD Chocolate milk (the large one), soft drinks, junk food and sweets...plus! unlimited time at the computer and PS3. I don't think you can imagine the state they are in when they get back home on Saturday.

Grand Parents! May Allah bless them and protect them for us!

Kony 2012

This has gone on far too long!

Where are the Super Powers in this World??

Why haven't they put a stop to Kony all those years???

28 years!!!

Or isn't there any oil in Uganda to draw the Super Powers

attention to this place???

Children! Children are dying!

They are abducted from their homes, used as sex slaves

and soldiers in Kony's army!

Till when?

I watched it twice.

First in mute because the kids were close by

and honestly I didn't want to draw their attention to it.

Half way through I'm chocking!!!

Just by reading the haunted and terrified look on Jacabos face!

After sending them to their room, I turned on again

and watched the whole video, and I can't stop crying.

I hope 2012 is the end of Kony, and may he rot in hell!

Um Abdulatif M7tara!

My Conclusion to this very interesting phone call is... Um Abdulatif is pissed off with her daughter in law!

It seems her daughter in law is a dalu3a and after the honeymoon is giving hell to Abdulatif :) Poor Abdulatif!

and his mama is venting on the phone about now days

young women who choose to become individual

beings instead of a shadow behind their husbands :)

Ya Um Abdulatif, I don't like to sound obnoxious, but my grandmothers (on both sides) and their mothers before them and their sisters and cousins who are older than you are had servants to serve them and take care of their children!

Yes, they did minimal work,

like over looking and superviseing their house hold work

and looking pretty for their husbands :)

But not milking the cows and goats or whatever.

Summer is Here!

So summer is here! What to do with two energetic boys? There so many summer camps offers and such, on news papers and social media. But none of them offers what I feel is necessary for my boys.

I want a boot camp! With retired military men shouting orders and wearing the boys down with drills! (Lol! I bet you're thinking what kind of a mom I am. Believe me one week with Abdulaziz (may God protect him) and you'll know how I feel).

I have a whole program outlined for him, I just have few loose strings to take care of. Ahmed will head to Little Gym inshallah. I hope he'll enjoy it l'6bana!

Like every summer I order books and cartoons for them. I ordered from Amazon France some reading comprehension with work books, they have interesting stories which covers several subjects, Like Middle Ages, which Abdulaziz learned about this year, Mythology, which might be covered next year and other fairy tales. I love these books, because of the work books which come with them. I also ordered books to prepare him for next year. Story books for Ahmed, and Cartoons.

I love those books. Not only they have interesting stories,

they come with work books.

So I ordered for him new DVDs and story books. He was so happy and overwhelmed when they arrived he started crying!

Books for both boys to work on during the

summer.

Tom Sawyer, a classic which I remembered watching when I was a kid. Actually I've learned my French by watching these cartoons. Abdulaziz is in love with it.

"Mama, Tom Sawyer is like me. He is always getting

in trouble" he tells me.

Oh…oh!!! Did I make a mistake by ordering Tom Sawyer?
