A Question

“ Dad, could the whole world be nothing but a dream?”
How would you answer that if your child asks you this questions?

My Little Fashionisto

My little Fashionisto!!
When he got back from school and took a quick shower, I heard him crying.
I check on him, and I found out that he didn't want to wear
what the nanny has picked out for him.
He wanted to choose his own clothes, because he knows what
he wants. His bulldog t-shirt, his carpenter cut jeans,
his rain boots (worn the wrong way),
and his Toy Story 3 back bag filled with
his favorite story books (it is pretty heavy) .
Then he posed for the camera!!! Can't believe he is
actually smiling! I had to beg him to smile whenever I'm snapping pics!!!
Oh!!! and his M&M fan!!! It was hot and humid that day ;p
So what do you think???

Wonderful Weather, Food and Company

The plan was, after seeing my boys off to school, that I'd go back to bed, sleep then wakeup later, exercise have brunch and then work on some recipes I've prepared. Well that was the plan…until I saw the clouds and opened the windows and was refreshed by the cool breeze which blew in my direction from the sea. No! I don't want to go back to sleep! I wanted to go out and enjoy the weather! Have a good delicious breakfast! I wanted Marina Cresent and le Pain Quotidian yummy food.
"Ya banaya waray shugil!" Fahad protested when he saw the look on my face. "None of my friends are available and I don't want to stay home in this weather." "Ok…Ok… I have to stop by the office and pick you up in an hour." Fahad leaves and I hurry to get ready. I get a call from Ansam who suggested I go with her. But she was heading to different place ;*** Thank you Cheri for thinking about me. We head to Marina Crescent and it was packed!!! We couldn't find any parking space we had to park all the way at the back of the lot. I wanted PQ and when we reached there, there weren't any available tables outside. So we went to Gasper & Gambini. The weather was unbelievable. Even Fahad who was a bit in a mood because I took him away from work, lightened up and started making jokes.
We shared a Frittata and pastry basket, with a Mega Mocha and a Latte. I love the mini cookies which comes with the drinks.
After we stopped by the factory to check on something and I found a bunch of Bonbons in the freezer. I snatched me one…turned out to be a coffee Bonbon…Yum!

Shopping in High Heels

I was at Sultan the other day grocery shopping. I passed by this lady who looked really cool! I normally don't pay much attention to other people, but this one caught my attention. She wasn't pretty, but she had that "It" factor, which I also call the "WoW Bomb". I had to pass by her just to see what she was wearing, and I passed three times. Yes I turned into a stalker! She was wearing dark grey skinny jeans, black pirate shirt (you know the loose shirt with huge balloon sleeves), and a charcoal studded vest, black Chanel bag and grey studded pumps. I loved her pumps! And they were so high! How could she walk around in them without feeling pain? I loved what she was wearing and I was inspired! It's been awhile I haven't worn heels. The last time was during Eid. So yeah, the next time I went grocery shopping I wore high heels. Ouch! Ouch! Ouch! and Ouch!!! I was in so much pain I couldn't complete my shopping! I forgot half of what I needed to buy, rushed to the cashier and paid for what I got. Lucky I wasn't driving, because as soon as I got in the car I took off my pumps, wiped the tears and as soon as I reached home, I walked from the car to door bare foot!

I need to practice more :p

Diet Update - October

Yeppiiiiiiii! I finally broke through that plateau I've been stuck at for the past few months! Its either I gain a couple of kilos or lose them and get stuck at the same number and it wouldn't budge! First … I changed my nutritionist. I found the one I was with before I had Ahmed and lost a lot of weight on the diets she gave me. The diets are not boring or impossible. I feel full half of the time and on some evenings I skip dinner because I don't feel hungry at all. My descent was slow but at least I broke through this plateau. Second ... those extra 30min walks I have in the evening with Abdulaziz paid off. We go at least three times a week. I already do every morning 30-40 min on the tread mill, 10-15 on the still cycle and every other day a quick light weight body toning. I found a Pilates club not far from where I live. I will check it out and if it is interesting I will join, a friend of mine swears by Pilates. I also have to return back to swimming, it is the #1 body toner! Am I a statuesque super model? Not yet! I still can't believe that I've lost the kilos I was stuck at and I can't believe it, every morning I go step on my scale just to be sure. I really enjoyed the compliments I've received the other evening during a family event. They were a real booster to my self-esteem and I'm encouraged to work harder.

True Blood Season 3 (Spoilers)

Book 3 of the Sookie Stackhouse series Sookie Stackhouse is having man trouble. Her vampire boyfriend, Bill, has been distant and inattentive lately. Then he announces that he is going on a business trip, which clearly is more than it seems. After a werewolf tries to abduct Sookie at work, Bill's boss, Eric, tells her that Bill fell under the sway of his--Bill's, that is--ex, a sexy vamp named Lorena, and has been kidnapped. Eric wants Sookie's help in getting Bill back, and despite her hurt over Bill's betrayal, Sookie agrees to go to Jackson, Mississippi, to find her wayward lover. Eric has persuaded Alcide, a dashing werewolf, to get Sookie access to Josephine's, aka Club Dead, the local hangout of Jackson's supernatural element. In between dodging kidnappers, the advances of amorous Eric, and her growing feelings for Alcide, Sookie has to find out who kidnapped Bill and figure out a way to rescue him. With some droll touches--Elvis, now a vampire, is Sookie's faithful guard. I started on True Blood season 3 and had to stop for awhile, but then I finally had the time to catch up on the remaining episodes. A very colorful cast. Interesting subplots, but I hated the main plot of this season. They changed so much from the original story of the book that I actually felt disappointed they didn't stay true to the book like they did in season 1 & 2. Book 3 of the Sookie Stackhouse series by Charlain Harris wasn't like that, and where is Bubba??? Bubba is Elvis turned into a vampire before he died. From what I remember of book 3, The King of Mississippi was helpful to Sookie and his partner Talbot didn't die at the end. I'm very confused. I want to reread the book just to be sure. Then they killed the were panther alpha (can't remember his name) he is alive in the series, and he has a huge crush on Sookie and will help her on several occaisions. Why did they kill him? Charlian Harris has described Sookie as a beauty and Tara a white woman. Ok…so I get Tara being changed into a black woman, and I don't mind her full of attitude character, although sometimes I want to bang her head with a sledgehammer, but Anna Paquin as Sookie!!! I just don't get it! Still after 3 seasons I wince when I see her, because Sookie in my head when I read the series is like the original Buffy or the second Buffy (Sarah Michelle Gellar) or even Glee's Dianna Agron, yeah these what I consider blond beauties.

I just hope next Season would be better.

Kristy Swanson as Buffy... This is how I pictured Sookie in my mind

Sarah Michelle Gellar would have made a good Sookie too, or someone like her

The original Tara... but producers and directors
felt she didn't have enough attitude

Rutina Wesely, she is playing the part to perfection

What do you think? Who is better?
