Happy Chocolate Day!!!

I confess! I'm a chocolate addict… and the best chocolate… is warm melted chocolate! Pick any of your favorite chocolate brand and and melt it! Then dip your fingers in the bowl and enjoy!

Now if I had a choice, I'd post every chocolaty picture I found on the net! But these are only a few…

Best Ice cream: As a chocolate addict, it is only natural that I concentrate on chocolaty flavors when it comes to Gelato Italiano.

I can't say I have a favorite chocolate flavor because most are so delicious I can't make up my mind.

But when I'm in one of my bad moods, I reach out for the dark chocoalte Gelato, dark and very dense in flavor. And if I name every flavor this post will never end!

This one is milk chocolate with white chocolate marbel.

Favorite Cake: Again... it is the one I make. Devil's food chocolate from scratch not the packs...no..no.. not I! With very dense dark chocolate butter cream. So rich and creamy!

It has been awhile I haven't baked anything...

maybe I'll do something this week...

Pure Torture

Can you resist some thing as deliciously looking as this?

This morning I was switching channels to find something interesting to watch while exercising and settled on Fashion TV to inspire me to work harder so I'd look good in all the beautiful clothes ;p Anyway… they featured a photo shoot with a tall boney model wearing skimpy lingerie in beautiful candy color and she was surrounded by jars filled with candy and cookies and stands filled with cup cakes in every flavor and color! And I thought…."God! This is pure torture for her!" But then how would she look so boney and good in her scanty outfits if she didn't go through this torture ;p As the Frenchies would say "Il faut souffrir pour etre belle"

Cookies...

Every now and then I bake some cookies for the boys to take with them to school and share with their friends. I did them in mini size. I didn't want the pre KG to be jumping uncontrollably all around the class room from the sugar and chocolate ;p It is a good opportunity for Ahmed to socialize and share with his friends. Sharing is caring…

I had just a little bit left from the batch at the end so

I decided to make two large cookies...

The Gelato booth and Wicked has a small corner because of last minute change of booth The Wall paper is a new design made for us by the great team of Technographics who handles most of our ads and prints. Very Retro isn't it? Our Crunchy wafer cones made fresh on daily basis for our store Bombs and not the terrorist kind. These are delicious and made with love and peace in mind ;p Ice cake Wicked Bites. Wicked mocha fudge It was a crazy day, with a lot of things to do and prep to make. We had some minor setbacks but no worries, we made it through. The table tops which we made for exhibitions were misplaced in the store room and couldn't be found along with business cards and some fliers. One of our display cabinets stopped working and had to be replaced with a less impressive freezer. Anyway, having less than a week to prepare for this exhibition I think we fared well.

A young girl, who also has cupcakes, approached our booth looking down at the cupcake boxes, and she asked me if it was homemade. "We have a kitchen." I replied. "Then you are not the real thing." She says. "What do you mean not the real thing? This is all made from scratch and we don't use ready mixes." I looked at her confused. "But still it isn't home made so you're not the real thing." She insists. I still don’t understand what her definition of the real thing was and why does it have to be homemade to be real. So I shrugged, "Whatever you say dear." She leaves and Fahad starts laughing. "Et3eesheen oo teshoofeen." And I'm still chuckling whenever I think about it.
