Gratin

A very quick Gratin. 2 medium sliced potatoes, 2 celery sticks chopped, 4 slices chopped low fat Turkey. 1 cup of grated low fat of cheddar cheese, 1 cup of low fat cream.

It was very guilt free richness and satisfying.

What's For Breakfast

Let me tell you how my day start… I get up with the boys wash and change into my exercise gear. I see them off to school and start my exercise. After I'm done I like to prepare my own breakfast. It depends on my mood and the time I got. If I'm not in a rush that day I indulge and take my time, however if I was in a hurry, I'd fill my cup with a latte and dash out to work.  I also like to have my breakfast in front of the TV and while going through the paper (Fahad suggested it would improve my Arabic if I read the News papers.)

Toast with herbed cream cheese

Apple & Pear sauce, and Herbal tea.

Creamy low sugar strawberry oatmeal, pineapples,

Nothing beats cold water melons after an exercise session

Cinnamon & Pecans Spcial K with skimmed milk

Green Apple yogurt

Reduced fat Peanut butter, raspberry jam, Latte 

Toast, Herbed cream cheese, olives and tomato slices

Latte, strawberry yogurt.

My Birthday Cakes ;p

WE all know 2011 isn't a regular year (allah yaster). A tradition I have with my kids where we'd bake a cake on my birthday and celebrate together. Unfortunately this tradition broke this year. On my Birthday, I was swamped with work. I've been in stressful meetings from morning till after 1PM, and it was so hot that day! Plus, I have promised my sister's I'd go out to lunch with them. When I started getting the birthday wishes as early as 12am, I remembered it was my B-day.


I usually catch Fahad when he is planning a surprise, however, as I said, this time I was distracted with work I didn't pay much attention. Since he knew I was busy, he took care of the cake by ordering one for me. Unfortunately I went out with my sisters and fumbled his plans. I enjoyed our lunch we had a great laugh and my sisters surprised me with a yummy cake. My younger sister who is in the States called me. Love and miss her. I even ran into Ansam :*** By the time I got back home, the kids were already in bed, and we had to leave again for the movies. Yes. I bought the tickets before I realized it was my B-day. Then Fahad told me about the surprise. Honestly I felt down that I wasn't there to celebrate with my boys and spoiling the surprise. I got my gift so happy about it, but still 2011 is a big fat mess! (al7amdullah)

try this Ritter Sport in Strawberry Yogurt!

I love it! First time I tried it was when I was in Italy, then I found

it in Turkey and bought more, and then in Dubai Airport few weeks a go I bought a dozen of it. I love the combination of sweet and tart strawberries with chocolate. (no I do not eat it everyday)

While shopping at Sultan I found this

Ritter chocolate in hazelnut.

I think it is even better than the Milka chocolate
